Petite Crepe Man
Their Story
La Petite Cabane is the brainchild of Valerie Donsimoni, a French Corsican who, along with her husband Pascal and son Noé, made Oakura, New Zealand, their home. Valerie, originally a nurse from France, was inspired by the cooking traditions of the women in her family and saw cooking as another way…
What They Make
Savory Crêpes: Made with organic buckwheat flour (sourced from the South Island), naturally dairy-free and gluten-free. Fillings include a vegetarian option, smoked salmon with a homemade Norwegian-inspired sauce (cream cheese, lime juice, chives, red onion, rocket), and a popular French classic with egg, ham, and cheese. Other savory ingredients used are bacon, avocado, tomato, red onion, rocket, cheese, and spinach. Sweet Crêpes: Made with a different batter containing milk and egg, often flavored with orange blossom and vanilla. Signature sweet offerings include the classic butter, sugar, and lemon, homemade salted caramel by Valerie's husband Pascal, and Nutella. Seasonal sweet specials are also offered. They also feature homemade pesto.
