What They Make
Raglan Fish offers a comprehensive range of seafood, prioritizing fresh, locally caught species. Their fresh fish selection typically includes snapper, gurnard, john dory, lemonfish, kahawai, trevally, hapuka, and two kinds of flounder (sand and yellow-bellied). They also source tarakihi from other markets to meet demand. Beyond fresh fish, their prepared offerings are highly celebrated. Signature items include excellent smoked fish, often hot-smoked twice a week using manuka wood, and beautifully fresh squid. Their acclaimed fish and chips, which can be battered, crumbed, or grilled, are a staple, often served with lemon wedges and parsley. Other popular prepared foods feature hot seafood chowder, seafood salads, and smoked fish pies. For those seeking additional options, they also sell oysters, battered sausages, and pineapple fritters.
